The due date for payment is 21 days from the time you receive your bill for your current consumption of electricity. 

If LCEC is not able to receive your payment within this time frame the payment will be being considered to be late.

Pay online: Lee County Electric Cooperative has partnered with PowerPay to offer an online account service for its customers. 

This service comes with a variety of tools to manage the accounts that allow you to pay with your savings or checking account and debit or credit card. 

Payments made through banks are not charged, and they are posted directly into your bank account (you can also set up the future payment). 

Payments made by credit card before 4 pm are debited from your account in six hours. 

There is a charge of $5.50 for payments made by credit card. To pay the LCEC payments online, click”Pay Online” below. Click the “Pay on the internet” link below. You can log in to register, review your bill, or control your accounts online.

Pay by phone: Call customer service to pay your bill over the phone (check under for telephone number). 

This service accepts checking and savings payments as well as credit card and debit card transactions. 

Bank transactions are absolutely free and are credited directly into your bank account. 

Payments made by card over the phone prior to 4 PM are credited on your credit card within 24 hours. There is a charge of $5.50 for credit card transactions.

Pay in person: There are numerous Pay-in-person stations that are authorized by the payment department throughout all of the Lee County Electric Cooperative service areas. 

They accept payments by check cash, money order travelers’ check, cashier’s check. 

Each payment comes with the $1.50 fee for service. Be sure to have your invoice and LCEC account number on hand. A list of stations available can be found on the LCEC website.

Pay by mail: The Lee County Electric Cooperative account number for payment can be found at LCED, P.O. Box 311477 Tampa, FL 33631-3477. 

Make your payment using the envelope for billing that comes along with your bill in the paper. 

Make sure to include the LCEC account number with your cheque. The account number will be on your bill. 

To ensure that your LCEC payment is processed on time, it is advised that you send your payment no later than 5 days before the due date on your monthly statement of billing.

Opening and Closing Accounts

New customers aren’t required to pay a deposit if they’re deemed to be by LCEC to be having a good credit score. 

If you have to pay a deposit the amount you pay will be around double the average of twelve months or at a minimum of $200, for addresses that do not have a minimum twelve-month history of billing. Business and commercial customers are required to pay the deposit.
